Rev. David T. Bias, 94, of Kenova, WV, formerly of Lincoln County, died Saturday June 1, 2013 in Heritage Center, Huntington, WV. He was born April 4, 1919 in West Hamlin, WV, a son of the late Delbert and Virgie Holbrook Bias. He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Bias; daughter, Euneva Walls Cook; four brothers, three sisters and a grandson, Kevin Walls. He was a retired coal miner working for Island Creek and Snap Creek Coal Companies. He was a preacher for over 50 years.
He is survived by a daughter, Brenda Hetzel and her companion Darrell Hill; sons, Michael Bias and his wife Ruth and Norris Walls and his wife Pam; a son-in-law Frank Cook and his wife Lois; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. The ties that will be worn in memory of David by the pallbearers were all worn by him.
Funeral service will be 10:00am Friday June 7, 2013 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV. The burial will follow in the Enon Cemetery, Salt Rock, WV.
