Deborah Ann Perdue

Deborah “Debby” Ann Perdue, age 73, went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Friday, January 17, 2025. 

Debby was born February 9, 1951, in Madison, WV to the late Harold Ray and Jessie Clarice (Barker) Powell. Debby was a devoted Christian and dedicated homemaker. 

She is survived by her brother Doug (Debbie) Powell; three stepchildren Grace Perdue, Kristiana Smith, and Charlotte (Wayne) Chafin; nine step grandchildren, Ashley, Krynn, Dezaray, Chance, Elizabeth, Chase, Charisma, Sebastian and Jesseca; and six step great-grandchildren, Aiyana, Mason, Aceson, Declan, Emmalyn and Johnathan.

She was preceded by her husband Jessie Perdue on September 11, 2024; brother Charles Luther “Butch” (Marsha) Powell; and sister Patrica Sue Ellis.

Services will be held Thursday January 23, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV, with Billy Nelson serving as the officiant. Visitation will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Family Gardens in Low Gap, WV.

The family would like to give a special thanks and appreciation to Boone Memorial Health, Raleigh General Hospital, and Wyoming Healthcare for their dedicated help from their nurses, doctors and staff. Also, a special thanks to Boone County Ambulance Authority for their many trips and all their help.
