Delbert Michael Toler

Delbert Michael Toler, 74, of Fairdale, WV passed away February 8, 2025, at home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 18, 1950, in Boone County, WV. He was the son of the late Delbert and Delma Toler. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Ronnie Toler.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Army, a retired coal miner of 20 plus years and a member of UMWA. He loved to hunt, fish, camp, watch sports and be outside. He was the happiest when we were all together laughing, singing and being the best most silly pawpaw ever.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 50 years, Maggie; four kids, Anthony (Stacy) of Mt. Hope, Amanda Hamilton of Clearwater, FL, Mary Green of Fairdale and Arron (Rachel) of Eccles. He was also blessed with 13 amazing grandkids; and eight beautiful great grandkids. Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Lona Setser (Vaughn) and Rose Belcher, and his brother, Jimmy Toler.

He loved and was so honored to do the Lord’s work through song and traveled spreading the Gospel for 21 years with Jacob’s ladder.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV. Burial will follow in Jab Workman Cemetery, Bald Knob WV.
