Delmar Keaton Cook 86 died March7, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV.
Delmar was a long time resident of Madison WV. He was a veteran with the United States Air Force, during the Korean War. He was coal miner for 34 years.
Delmar had a love for hunting, gardening, camping, Judge Judy and CNN. He was a mentor to many and known to go the extra mile to help family and friends and he will be missed by many.
He was the son of the late Hubert and Allie Cook of Greenwood, WV. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Nada White Cook of Madison, WV; brothers Glen (Filanese) Cook, Oliver (Lena) Cook, Donald (Beulah) Cook and Maurice Cook.
He is survived by daughter, Jennifer Cook Bryant (John) of Leesburg, VA; Regan (Misty) Cook of Madison, WV and Michael Cook of Gerrardstown WV; and sister in law Bonnie Turner Cook of Columbus, OH; grandchildren Damon, Keyona, Magan, Courtney, Michael, Ronnie and Timmy; great grandchildren Emma, Chloe, Patricia, Keygan, Amelia, and Cayden.
Funeral Service will be 2:00pm Saturday, March 11 at Handley Funeral Home Danville with Pastor Scottie Elswick officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Madison, WV with military graveside rites Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578, Madison WV. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
