Delmas E. Barker

Delmas E. Barker, 81, of Ashford went home to be with the Lord on Monday, February 10, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital after an extended illness.
He was a retired Navy veteran of 22 years and retired State of WV. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Ruby Barker; and daughter, Patricia Barker.
Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Adkins Barker; son, Delmas Barker Jr. and wife Nina of Pace, FL; step-children, Randy Adkins and wife Janie of Costa and Cindy Allen and husband Frank of Precious, WV; brothers, Daris Barker of Ashford and Robert Barker and wife Trudy of Ashford; sister, Barbara Miller and husband David of Weaverville, NC; grandchildren, Rhonda Frush and husband George of St. Pete, FL, Denise Bayne of Danville, IN and Zach Barker of Pace, FL; step-grandchildren, Cody Adkins of Costa,David Allen of Ripley, Shawn Allen of Elkview and Micha Looney of Spencer; and five great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren.
Service will be at 11 am Friday, February 14, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Randell Kinder officiating. Micha Looney will be singing. Burial will follow in Graceland Memorial Park, Ruth, WV with military graveside rites performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578, Madison, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
