Delores Halstead

Delores Coberly Halstead, 90, of Bloomingrose, West Virginia, recently residing in Apopka, Florida, went to be with the Lord on August 29, 2024.

She is survived by her children, Barbara Halstead of Apopka, FL, Michael Halstead (Evelynn) of Bloomingrose, WV, and Steven Halstead (Chris Desilets) of Largo, FL; granddaughters Michelle Hufham (Rob) of Apopka, FL and Kadie Halstead of Bloomingrose, WV; great grandsons Chase Marcone, Oliver and Keaton Halstead and great granddaughter Kendall Hufham; brothers John, Fred, Curtis, and Kenny Coberly and sisters Emma “Cookie” Hensley, Diane Rudisill, and Marietta Perry.

She is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 65 years, Harry Halstead, parents Robert and Virginia Coberly and brother Bill Coberly.

Delores retired from Highland Hospital and previously worked at K Mart. She spoke often about her first job at National Mine Supply in Logan, WV. She was a 1951 graduate of Guyan Valley High School. She was a member of the Bloomingrose Church of Christ, and she truly loved the Lord.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2pm on Saturday, September 14th at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV, followed by burial at the Ballard Cemetery in Foster, WV.

Family and friends may visit 12:30pm to 2:00pm on Saturday, September 14th at the funeral home.
