Denzel W. “Dink” Brake, 76, of Morrisvale passed away January 23, 2014 at Hubbard Hospice House West, South Charleston.
He was born June 9, 1937 and was a son of the late John Edward and Alice Robinson Brake. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Rosetta Brake.
He was a retired coal miner and woodcarver. He gave his heart to Jesus four days before he passed.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Nelson Brake; children, Teresa (Steve) Smith of Julian, Beverly (Jeff) Mosteller of Sissonville, Charlotte Sydnor (Zack Tucker) of Elon, NC, Darren Brake of Charleston and Donna (Bill) Springer of Sandusky, Ohio; sister, Bonnie (Gary) Frost of Cumberland, MD; step-sister, Eloise Robinson of Ohio; step-brothers, Jim Woods and Junior (Joyce) Woods all of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.

Services will be 6 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Jeff Mosteller and Steve Smith officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
