Ditha Jean Clay

Ditha Jean Clay, 82, of Branchland, WV passed away Saturday September 12, 2015 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was born May 9, 1933 in Wayne Co., WV, a daughter of the late Paris B. and Susan Adkins. She is also preceded in death by her husband Marshall Clay; sisters, Olga Adkins, Florida Merritt, Ruth Effingham, Theo Adkins, Alta Thompson, Emma Effingham; brothers, Leo Adkins, Tolbert Adkins, Boyd Adkins, and Clifton Adkins.

She is survived by three sons, Gary (Connie) Clay and Terry (Teresa) Clay both of Branchland, WV, Cameron (Becky) Clay of Hamlin, WV; a brother, Lionel Adkins; 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to express a special thank you the Lincoln Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and Hospice of Huntington for all their loving care.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm Tuesday September 15, 2015 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with Paul Triplett and Eddie McComas officiating. The burial will follow in the Watson Cemetery, Branchland, WV. A visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm Monday at the funeral home.
