Don L. Adkins, 63, of Ottawa passed away Sunday, August 17, 2014 at Logan Regional Medical Center, Logan, WV.
He was born July 16, 1951 and was a son of the late Raymond and Gail Adkins. He was also preceded in death by granddaughter, Emily Bailey.
He was a retired coal miner from Peabody Coal Company.
He is survived by two daughters, Melodie Bailey of Ottawa and Angela White of Bim; granddaughters, Vanessa Riffle, Destiney Riffle, Jennifer Riffle, Jessica Riffle, and Elizabeth Bailey; one grandson, John Wayne Bailey; one great-grandson, Mathew Maynard; sister, Judy Lehman of Madison; and brother, Richard of Gallipolis Ferry, WV.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, August 21, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Joe Stowers officiating. Burial will follow in Drawdy Cemetery, Drawdy.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
