Donald K. Price, 82, of Maryville, TN formerly of Boone County, WV went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2015 at home surrounded by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Mae Workman Price; brothers, Buddy, Zenith, Darrell and Harold; sisters, Fela and Dolcie; loving wife, Gertie Mae; and two children, Carolyn and Randall.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired coal miner with 30 years of service and a member of the UMWA.
Donald is survived by one son, David Price of Bald Knob, WV; four daughters, Evelyn Young of Jewett, Texas, Jenni and Lonnie Payne of Madison, WV, Tyrona and Richard Wright of Crossville, TN, and Donna Gent of Charleston, WV; eleven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by brothers, Dudley, Edward, Alton, Robert and Paul; sisters, Charlotte, Pauline, Brenda, Dot and Florine.
The family would like to give a special thank you to their Aunt Brenda Ferrell for being there and helping to complete the circle.
Service will be 2 pm Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Pastor Ruth Anne Delong officiating. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery, Bald Knob, WV.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
