Donald L. Wrenn 86, of Chesapeake, OH passed away on Saturday October 17, 2015 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. He was born July 24, 1929 a son of the late Albert B. and Rosa Lee Fitzpatrick Wrenn. He was an Army and Air force WWII and Korea War Veteran, and retired from Ford Motor Company. He was also preceded in death by a daughter Susan Gail Wrenn Crabtree; brothers, Russell Earl Wrenn, Roy Oneil Wrenn, Marshall Morris Wrenn, and Danny Wrenn.
He is survived by his wife Claris Avanell Roy Wrenn; his children, Patricia Ann and Richard Rutherford, Kathy Dayll Wrenn Newton, Amber Carol Wrenn and Eddie Wilson, son-in-law Warren Crabtree, Don Burton Wrenn, and Carrie Lynn Wrenn; brother, Dixon Lee Wrenn; sisters, Shirley Mae Wrenn Stewart, Mary Francis Wrenn and Dennis Porter, Sharon Sue Wrenn and Russell Gene Miller; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Huntington First Wesleyan Church with Rev. Cliff Pruitt, and Ed Roberts officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by American Legion Post 111 of Hamlin, WV at Saunders Cemetery, Branchland, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Tuesday. McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV is in charge of arrangements.
