Dora Diane Bird, 68, formerly of Madison, WV passed away peacefully March 28, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.
She was a 1966 graduate of Scott High School. She resided in Fr. Myers, Florida for the past 30 years. She loved to decorate and spend time in her courtyard with her many plants and flowers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bruce and Ann Pauley of Camp Creek; brother, Everett Pauley of Huntington; and niece Joretta Cabell of Danville.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Melissa Breese (Eddie) of Huntington; son, Scott Kessinger (Joyce) of Cosby, TN; daughter, Courtney Bird of Ohio; siblings, Brenda Ray of Danville, Kathy Kirk of Julian, Shirley Albright of Huntington; Roger Madden of Cosby TN; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville with Edward Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
