COLUMBIA, SC - Funeral services for Doris Ann Workman, 83, will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, W.V., with burial to follow in Memory Gardens, Madison, WV.
Mrs. Workman passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018. After being a warrior and an angel during her 10 year battle against Alzheimer’s Disease, God called her home to rest. Born in Madison, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ivan and Mary Jane White. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, the late Dewey Aubrey Workman. She enjoyed bowling, reading, movies, gardening, and loving and caring for her family.
Surviving are her children, Kathy Burns Bauerschmidt, Terry Wayne Workman, Jerry Layne Workman, Vicki Jane Simpson-Hurst, Nancy Ellen Krebs and Mary Elizabeth McGowan; siblings, Jack White, Ruth Crowley, Becky Heater, Connie Dent, and Sue McCrary; and grandchildren, Rocky Burns II, Stephanie Neely, Jennifer Agosti, Josh Simpson, Shellie Workman, Alia Harry, Justin Workman, Amber Koepke and Jesse Workman, and also her 15 precious great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Joyce Mitchum.
