Dorothy Waller Lowery, 88, of Robinson died Friday, August 28, 2015. She was the last of ten children born to Burley and Rachel Lamb Waller. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Leonard Lowery in 1994; and her oldest son Rodney in January 2013.
Left to cherish her memory are her son and daughter-in-law, Delbert and JoAnn Lowery of Clinton Camp; her daughter and son-in-law, Patty and Dudley Price of Robinson; one grandson, Mike Lowery and wife Cindy of Madison, Ohio; and granddaughters, September and husband Jason Davis of Beckley and Cindy and Jennifer Lowery of Morgantown, NC; great-grandchildren include, Michael and Matt Lowery of Madison, Ohio, Brett Spratt of Van, Elijah Dickens, Taylor and Dustin Cabell and Dakota Tullis of Morganton, NC; great-granddaughters, Konner and Kennedy Davis of Beckley; also her beloved dog, Molly Bea; and cat, Gray.
Dorothy was a homemaker and was a proud member of the UMWA Local 781.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ron Stollings and Kathy Hill of Madison Medical, Boone Home Health Care and Hospice. Also, most important, the UMWA for making it possible for their loved one to get the best health care. Mom always worried about losing her benefits that her husband had worked and fought for, for 40 years.
Service will be 2 p.m. Monday, August 31 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Glen Jarvis officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison
