Edna Louise McComas

Edna Louise McComas, 70, of Branchland, WV went home to be with the Lord on June 18, 2020, after a long battle with Kidney Disease. She was born September 11, 1949 a daughter of the late Howard and Virgie Carter Porter. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Rodney Porter. She was an oncology nurse at St. Mary’s Medical Center for 25 years. Edna was a true hero to the patients who needed one.

She is survived by her husband Edgar McComas, whom she married on November 2, 1965; two sons, Danny (Laura) McComas and Andrew McComas; a sister, Susan (Roger) McCallister; three brothers, Chester (Ruth) Porter, Donald (Kathy) Porter and Calvin (Tonya) Porter; a sister-in-law, Jackie Porter; two honorary daughters, Peggy (Billy) Luker and Suzannah McCallister; six grandchildren, Danny Joe McComas, Michelle (Brian ) Tabor, DeAnna McComas, Zoe (Ryan) Kinnaman, Rachel Murray, Matthew (Angela) McComas; two honorary grandsons, Anthony Lovejoy and John Adkins; four great granddaughters and a host of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be 12:00 pm Monday, June 22, 2020 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with Michael Abshire and Greg Dial officiating. The burial will follow in the Franklin Cemetery, Branchland, WV.

A visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
