Born on August 5th, 1957, in McDowell County, West Virginia, Elaine was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a devoted wife and a caring friend, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Elaine is survived by her loving husband, Kenny Joe Woodrum of Gandeeville; her daughters, Kristina (Christopher) Lafferty of Hurricane, West Virginia, and Sara (Luke) Roush of Gandeeville; her sister, Jamey (Joe) Romeo of Jacksonville, Florida; her sister, Tammy (Frank) McDerment of Sissonville, West Virginia; her mother, June Ann (Garry) Shivley; her granddaughter, Shelby (Ryan) Bradley of Kimberly, West Virginia, and her youngest grandchildren, Caraline, Charlie, and Cooper Roush. Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved siblings: Terry Fred Bailey, Dina Myrtle Slater, Jennifer Lynn Bailey, and Deon Wyatt Bailey.
In her golden years, Elaine enjoyed the simple joys of life, tending to her dream farm and spending time with her cherished Australian Shepherd, Molly. A true homemaker, she found happiness in the small moments-whether sipping on coffee with Italian Sweet Cream Creamer, attending auctions with her husband, Kenny, or simply enjoying her family's company.
Elaine was known for her selflessness, incredible care for others, and infectious laugh that brightened every room she entered. She was a devout Christian and attended the West Ripley Church of Christ faithfully. To accurately describe Elaine, a particular song comes to mind; Alicia Keys' "Girl On Fire," which perfectly captured Elaine's vibrant spirit and strength.
