Elena Carmela “Cammy” Richardson, of Cleveland, OH formerly of Madison, WV, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 28, 2016 at the age of 56, after a long battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest ”Doll” Richardson and Lena Price Richardson, her sister Edna Richardson Davis, her brother Charles Richardson, her sister in law Carolyn Hill Richardson, her brother in law Nelson Davis Jr., and her nephews Nelson Davis III and Chadwic Richardson.
Born on November 6, 1960, in Madison, West Virginia, Cammy was the tenth of thirteen children born to Forrest “Doll” and Lena Richardson. She graduated from Scott High School in 1979.
Cammy spent her adult life in Cleveland, OH where she worked in many career fields. She most recently worked at Lakewood Healthcare Center where she worked hard to help take care of others.
Cammy was kind, generous, witty, and could light up any room. She had a zest for life and was friendly and would chat with anyone she came across. Her laughter was infectious and she was a wonderful friend and family member to all who knew her. She was truly beautiful inside and out.
Cammy is survived by her beloved siblings: Phillip Richardson(Vivian) of Delaware, George Richardson(Florence) of California, Scotty Richardson(Cheri) of Florida, Robert Richardson(Jeannetta), Chester Richardson(Sharon), Ronnie Richardson(Niwana), Tony Richardson, Gloria Richardson(Jim), Jean Ferrell(Danny),and Dawn Richardson(Russell), all of West Virginia. Cammy is also lovingly remembered by her sister in law Kathy Richardson, 8 nephews, 11 nieces, and a host of family and friends.
She will be deeply missed but we are rejoicing in knowing she is now at peace with the Lord.
Visitation will be on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 1-2pm with a funeral service at 2pm at Handley Funeral Home. There will be a reception to follow at Zion Baptist Church in Madison, WV. All are welcome to attend and help celebrate Cammy’s life. Flowers and condolences may be sent to:
