Elizabeth "Libby" Ann Adams (Lucas), 72 of Morganton, North Carolina entered her heavenly home on March 27, 2025. Libby was born on October 24, 1952, to the late Herman and Thelema Lucas.
Libby was a graduate of Scott High School in Madison, West Virginia in May of 1971. She became a secretary at MSHA. As the years passed, she worked her way up to Special Investigator. She retired from the Federal Government (MSHA) in January 2008 after having 31 years of service.
Libby married the love of her life, Michale Adams on December 20, 1974. Libby and Mike had a loving marriage for 40 years. After the passing of her husband Mike, Libby moved to Morganton, North Carolina.
Libby was a member of Freedie Freewill Baptist Church in Van, West Virginia. When she moved to Morganton, she attended Walker Road Baptist Church when she was able. Libby enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family.
Those left to cherish her memories are her brothers, Harold (Tana) Lucas of Tollesboro, Kentucky, David (Trina) Lucas of Pataskala, Ohio, son, Christopher (Jenny) Adams of Tifton, Georgia, daughter, Margaret Adams of Morganton, North Carolina, grand dog Maggie Mae, along with several brother and sister in laws, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2025, at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, West Virginia, with Pastor Steve Burns officiating. The burial followed in Memorial Gardens, Low Gap Road, West Virgina.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home on Monday.
