Ella Mae Setliff, 65, of Van, WV went to be with the Lord on February 21, 2016. She was born on July 14, 1950 to the late Darlene Joyce Adkins White and the late Dennis Adkins. She was also preceded in death by her husband James “Paul” Setliff; and one brother, Monty White.
Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Lynn Setliff of Madison and Althea Setliff of Van; grandchildren, Amanda Wilburn of Foster and James Wilburn Jr. of Welch, Racheal Sutphin of Madison, Thomas Sutphin of Van and Curtis Sutphin of Elkins; seven great-grandchildren, especially Aleigha Pauley who lived with her a short time, Ezekiel McNeely, Ethyan Wilburn, Brooklyn Huffman, Payton Pauley, Conner Pauley and Khia Sutphin; and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by brothers, Duane “Rusty” Adkins of Newton, WV, Steven White and Michael White both of Van, WV; and one sister, Frances Green of Charleston, WV.
Ella was a member of Cazy Freewill Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for a short time in the late 80”s until she moved. She later attended Browns Branch Freewill Baptist Church the last couple of years when she was able. She will be sadly missed by many.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 26 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Phil Rowe officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Low Gap.
