Elsa McCoy

Elsa Irene McCoy “Elsie”, 94, of Ypsilanti, Mi, formerly of West Virginia went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 24, 2022. She was born January 6, 1928 in Ranger, WV, the daughter of Harry and Hazel (Smith) Webb. Elsie enjoyed singing and playing the guitar. She liked sewing, cooking and baking her delicious lemon pies and making her hubby happy. She married Earnest McCoy December 31, 1945 in Hamlin, WV and he survives.
In addition to her husband, Elsie is survived by her children Rhonda (Randall) Vanover and Kirby McCoy; brother Larry (Kay) Webb, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Vernon (Linda) Webb, Barbra (Bill) Wilson and Deborah (Ed) Edwards.
Funeral services will be Monday October 3, 2022 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV. The burial will follow in the Sanders Cemetery, Ranger, WV. A visitation will be Sunday from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Condolences can be left at www.handleyfh.com .
