Elsie J. Gartin, 82, of West Hamlin passed away Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Cabell Health Care Center in Huntington, WV.
She was born November 1, 1933 and was a daughter of the late Jink and Norma Maynard Queen. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lonnie Gartin; son, Chesley Jink Gartin; and granddaughter, Wendy Von Hoben.
She was a retired machine operator for Solo Cup Manufacturing, Chicago, IL.
She is survived by two sons, Lonnie Jerome Gartin and Samuel Harlin Gartin (Ladara); two daughters, Norma Jane Adkins (Virgil) and Laura Francis Von Hoben (Bill); grandchildren, Jerry, Carl, Wayne, Jadon, Lafawn, Shaudale, Cherrish, Nattie, Elsa, Chesley Jr., Catrina, Virgil Jr., and Bo; 20 plus great-grandchildren and many more to come. She is also survived by three sisters and one brother.
Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2016 at McGhee Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in 14 Mile Cemetery, Ranger.
