Emma Lee Keffer, 76, of Drawdy, WV lost her battle with cancer on April 10, 2014 in the afternoon at Hubbard Hospice House of Charleston. She died peacefully with her family by her side and her husband of 56 years James holding her hand.
She was born Emma Lee Hannah of Montgomery. She was a graduate of Montgomery High School, and she worked as a lab technician at Montgomery Hospital until she met James who attended WV Tech. Together they raised three children. She was a devoted member of Danville Church of Christ, giving her life to God in 1965.
Emma Lee was preceded in death by her mother Oval Hannah; and son James Lee.
She is survived by her husband, James; daughter, Cathy (Tim) Meadows and their children Laura (Jimmy) Windland their children; Julio, Joe and Maddy, TJ, his son, Chase; Jessalyn and her children Peyton and Bailey; and Dillon. Son; Steven and his children, Collin and Cameron and many close family, also her special family friend Tom Rardin. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Kenneth Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, 2014 in Montgomery Memorial Park, London, WV beside her son.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
