Emuel "Juddy" Estep

Emuel “Juddy” Estep, 83, of Madison passed away at home on Monday, September 29, 2014.

He was born February 1, 1931 and was a son of the late Lloyd Estep and Oma Ball Estep. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Lee Estep, Kirby Estep and Blanch Hager.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Eva “Jean” West Estep; sisters, Carnegia Wagoner of Florida, Oretha Matthew of Virginia and Geneieve Haineback of Texas; brother, Joe Estep of Florida; also four children, Michael (Lisa) Estep of Alum Creek, Lloyd (Bonnie) Estep of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Roy (Lisa) Estep of Danville and Teresa (Scott) VanAlstyne of Winfield.

He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who loved and valued his family dearly. He retired from Kroger after 43 years. He then worked for Williams Transport for ten years. He was a member of Independent Baptist Church of Alum Creek. He loved his pastor and church family. He graduated from Scott High School in 1950 and was the quarterback for the football team and was team captain his senior year, and was class president. We will miss him very much.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2014 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Pastor Frank Chapman and Lloyd Estep Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
