Erwin N. Asberry, age 86 of Bellevue, passed away Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Stein Hospice Care Center in Sandusky.
Erwin was born January 9, 1935, in Boone County, WV the son of the late Dewey and Alpha (White) Asberry. In addition to his parents, Erwin is preceded in death by his wife, Judith (Sigmon) Asberry; children: Greg White, Danny White, and Gail White; and siblings: Richard Lee, Mona, and Jimmy.
Erwin was a United States Army Korean War Veteran, loving father, friend, and grandfather. He loved fishing, animals, and anything in nature.
Erwin is survived by his grandchildren: Oliver Stevens White, Crystal Dawn Daniels, Shay Stevens, Danny White, and Patrick White; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; siblings: Eddie, Gene, Ronny, and Dora Lynn; and nephews: Phillip Aslinger and Kenneth Workman.
Friends will be received Wednesday, August 25, 2021, from 4pm until a funeral service beginning at 6pm at Foos and Foos Funeral Service, 151 Yorkshire Place, Bellevue, OH 44811.
A graveside service 11 a.m. Friday, August 27, 2021 at Noah White Cemetery in Bim, West Virginia with military rites performed by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578 of Madison, WV. The West Virginia Honor Guard will be presenting the flag.
Handley Funeral Home is assisting the family.
