Estel Lee Lafferty,72, of Danville, WV unexpectedly passed away September 7, 2015.
He was born May 30, 1943 in Madison and was a son of the late Harry and Eunice Hood Lafferty. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Judith Ann Miller Lafferty and his 2nd wife Brenda Hunt Lafferty.
He spent several years in Glastonbury, CT working for Sheeney Brothers as a dye manufacturer, but returned to Madison/Danville and worked several years at various saw mills. He loved woodworking, hunting and fishing.
Estel is survived by his children, Timothy W. Lafferty and wife Rebecca of Charleston, SC, Estel Lee Lafferty, Jr. and David Lafferty; step-children, Tammy Hunt Moore and her husband, John of Mooresville, NC and Ronnie D. Hunt of Danville; grandchildren, Mason Maxwell Lafferty, Emmakate McKenzie Lafferty, Nathaniel Lafferty, Sarah Norman and Tasha and Chastity Tidwell; great-granddaughter, Aeva Jane Schwab; brothers, Robert Lafferty and Paul Lafferty.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
