Esther M. Bias, 86, of Jeffrey, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2015 following a long illness. She was born October 5, 1928, in St. Albans, WV to the late Walter and Bertie Jeffrey.
Esther was a member of Ball Chapel Church, Jeffrey. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved cooking, gardening, quilting and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
On July 2, 1948 she married Walter E. Bias who departed this world on October 21, 2003. She was also preceded in death by sisters Ruby Olsen, Ruth Miller and Rosetta Martinez; brothers, Reginald and Billie Jeffrey; and great grandson Avery Bias.
She is survived by sons: James (Janice) Bias of Washington, PA and Steven (Sandra) Bias of Chapmanville; grandchildren, William (Lisa) Bias, Jason (Carrie) Bias, Jennifer (Daniel) Quirk and Jeffrey Bias; sisters, Josephine Heilman and Sue Knox both of Columbus, OH; and brother, Virgil (Dolly) Jeffrey of Hewett.

Funeral services will be 2 pm Saturday, June 27, 2015 at Handley Funeral Home Danville with the Rev. Edsel Aleshire and the Rev. Tom Bias officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Madison.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service.
