Esther Loftus 93 of Uneeda, WV passed away Sept 23, 2015 at home.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Clifford Scragg her son, Wayne Scragg, father, Ezra Green and mother, Rutha Ball Green and stepmother Luella Green.
She was a life member of Uneeda Church of Christ. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years Elery, son; Ronnie(Peggy) Scragg, Patricia(Harold) Jarrell, Elaine (Frank) Javins, Eva Cooper, Wilma Loftus, Pamela Loftus, and Sandy (Troy) Groeb, 14 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
She touched the lives of so many family and friends throughout the community, never meeting a stranger, but most of all was her love for Jesus Christ. She had a great love for many things, especially working many years as a volunteer at Boone Memorial Hospital, Republican committee woman, 4-H Leader and Vice President of Boone Memorial Hospital Volunteers. When patients were released she would stay in contact to make sure their needs were met.
She always had a faithful and strong belief in her love for the Lord, always encouraged other to pray and follow God’s will. Her words were always attend church.
She had a great passion for cooking, canning, baking and of have all family home and around her table for old fashioned family dinners.
Her love and passion for her husband of 63 years were the greatest years of her life. Another member of her family wandered into life that gave her much joy, her dog Poochie.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Sept 28, 2015 Handley Funeral Home, Danville WV with Richard Runyon and Roger Dingess officiating. Burial will follow in Gomez Cemetery, Uneeda.
Friends may call from noon to service time Monday at the funeral home.
