Ethel Ann Queen 76 of North Fork of Big Creek went home to be with the Lord after a brief battle with cancer on Wednesday June 12, 2013.
Ethel was preceded in death by her loving husband Jimmy Queen, her son Timmy Queen, her parents Clyde Baisden and Erna Cutlip, her sister Susie Tackett, her great granddaughter Amanda Harless, and her nephew Eddie Bell.
Ethel Ann was a devoted housewife for 58 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to anyone that knew her. Her lifetime was spent being a caregiver to all that needed her. She was a member of the Danville Church of Christ for 20 plus years. She was a Christian lady that lived to spend time rejoicing with her church family. Her favorite pastime was sitting on the porch and visiting with her neighbors as they drove by. She loved spending time reading her Bible in the evenings before bedtime. She loved her daily walks up and down North Fork and Ellis Fork as it gave her time to chat with neighbors. Ethel Ann loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He loving smile, laughter, and hugs will be missed by everyone.
She leaves behind two children; Diana & Junior Bender of Lick Creek, and Jimmy Ray Queen of Six Mile, daughter in law Jonetta Queen of North Fork of Big Creek; grandchildren, Sandy and D.A. Harless of Lick Creek, Cindy Jeffrey of Camp Creek, Timmy Jeffrey of Isom, Jenni & Shannon Webb of Danville, Shawn Queen of Chapmanville, Jimmy “Ray-Ray” & Tabitha Queen of Virginia, Shane & Nikita Queen of Little Horse Creek at Julian, and Billy Ray Queen of Yawkey; her great grandchildren; Logan Webb, Allison Harless, Hunter Jeffrey, Brayden & Mackenna Queen, Kaylee & Makenzie Queen, and Anna Marie Queen, two sisters; Judy Bell of Trace Fork and Nellie Bender of Foster.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 15, Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Kenneth Mitchell and Ronnie Linville officating.
Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison, WV.
Friends may 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
