Rev. Eugene Davis, 84, of Branchland went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 23, 2016.
He was born August 18, 1931, in Lincoln Co., a son of the late Tobe and Rosella Adkins Davis. He was a minister of the gospel for 50 years and a retired electrical worker for the IBEW 317. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Olive Davis.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years Jeanette Adkins Davis; two daughters Glenda Thompson and husband Bret of Chesapeake, OH and Becky Harless and husband Weldon of Midkiff; two grandchildren Elizabeth Thompson and Ellen Harless and one great grandchild Dillon Laws.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday, May 26, 2016 at McGhee-Handley Funeral Home, West Hamlin, WV with Bro. Mark Terry, Bro. Donald Lovejoy and Bro. Michael Vance officiating. The burial will be in Fairview Memory Gardens, Hamlin, WV.
Friends may visit from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday at the funeral home.
