Eunice Toler Harvey
April 23, 1923 — June 26, 2018
Eunice Harvey, 95, of Greenwood, WV went to her Heavenly Home, which she had so longed for on June 26, 2018. She was born on April 23, 1923 to the late Jasper and Sarah Toler. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Harvey; her in-laws Levi and Lora Harvey; and many brothers and sisters.
Eunice loved the Lord more than anything and her daily life showed that to all who knew and loved her. She was a homemaker all of her life, she loved her family with all her heart. She loved going to church and singing in the choir. She attended Bim Freewill Baptist Church until she was unable due to her illness. She enjoyed working in her flower garden year after year. She was the definition of a Godly woman. She left behind an example that we should embrace and a legacy that will never be forgotten. Eunice held the title of Wife, Mom, Momaw, Great Momaw, and Great-Great Momaw.
Left behind to cherish her memory are her eight children, Virginia (Ralph) Ellis of VA, Paul (Brenda) Harvey of Kopperston, Diane Miller of IN, Milton “Buddy” (Barbara) Harvey of Wharton, Emma Brown of Wharton, Barry (Sandra) Harvey of Uneeda, Windell Harvey of Wharton and Daisy (Mike) Plaster of Wharton; 26 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Courtney Adkins and Melanie Harper Allen, FNP for their help in obtaining Hospice care. The family would also like to thank the Dignity Hospice staff for their care and compassion while taking care of our precious Mom.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 30th at the Bald Knob United Methodist Church with Pastor Scottie Elswick officiating. Interment will follow at the Harvey-Toler Cemetery at Farley Branch. Eunice’s grandsons and great grandsons will be serving as pall bearers. Friends may call any time after 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
