Evah Marie Duncan Salmons, 89, of Hamlin and Huntington, WV passed away from this life and into the open arms of Jesus on July 24, 2018. Evah was born on February 7, 1929 to the late Walter and Virgie Duncan. She was preceded in death by her husband Russell Salmons and daughter Elwanda Smith; also four sisters, Bonnie Salmons, Myrtle McComas, Ruby Smith, and Jenny White; and four brothers, Buster, Hal, Lloyd, and Walter Duncan Jr.
She was a homemaker and she attended Open Door Bible Church, where she loved to sing and play the piano.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (James Darrell) Chaffin and Deanna (Billy) Clayton; six grandchildren, Michelle (Mike) Baker, Ann (Ed) Raymond, Kelly (Richard) Ratanamalaya, Mary K. (James) Page, Ashley (Mark) Cleek and Lindsey Burns; 11 great grandchildren, Tyler Baker, Regan Baker, Russell Ratanamalaya, Srirat Ratanamalaya, Olivia McLean, Evahlyn Page, Carrisa Page, Dixie Page, Kayliegh Triplett, Liam Cleek, and Max Dash. Evah also leaves behind a host of friends and family,
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Open Door Bible Church, Hamlin with Ron Brewer officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memory Gardens, Hamlin.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin.
