Everett Earl Jeffrey Sr. “Pluti”, 75, of Madison, WV passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013.
He was born February 13, 1938 and was one of ten children of the late Floyd Kell and Nellie Jeffrey of Isom. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Anna Jeffrey; sisters, Doris Gibson, Adolphine Muncy and Delcie Ball; and brother, Buster Jeffrey.
He was a coal miner with 47 years of service and was a member of the UMWA. He was a member of the Madison Moose Lodge. He loved hunting, fishing and sports.
He is survived by his daughters, Tammi (Carlos) Kirk and Drema (Chuck) Huffman; son, Everett “Brother” Jr. (Peggy) Jeffrey; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers, Edward “Mack” Jeffrey, Emmett Jeffrey and Elmo “Oatbox” and Joyce Jeffrey; and two sisters, Dessie McDonald and Della and Glen McMillin.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Edsel Aleshire officiating. Burial will follow in Family Gardens, Madison.
