Faith Ann Barnett, 23, of Lancaster, SC, formerly of Madison, WV passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021 within hours of testing positive for COVID. She was born on January 20, 1998, the daughter of Shelly Canterbury-Akers and Harry Lee Barnett.
Faith Ann was a kind and compassionate soul who loved everyone, especially her mother, immensely. She enjoyed playing softball, making people laugh, and had a huge soft spot for all animals. We will always remember her for her infectious smile, unrestrained laugh, and caring heart.
Faith Ann was preceded in death by her father Harry Lee Barnett, grandmother Ruby Barnett, and grandfathers Harry Barnett and Robby Linville. Those left to treasure her memory are her mother Shelly and stepdad Josh Akers, grandmother Gail Caudill, her sisters Tiffany (Michael) Hanshaw and Kimberly Boggs, brother Timothy Dolin, uncles James (Pamela) Canterbury, William (Brenda) Canterbury, and Scotty (Carrie) Linville, aunt Melanie (James) Lowe, niece and nephew Kinley and Klayton Hanshaw whom she adored, the love of her life Andrew Cagle, her beloved dog Peep, and a host of family and lifelong friends.
On Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 2:00PM at the Madison Park we will be hosting a celebration of Faith Ann’s life and would love for all who knew and loved her to attend. Please feel free to share your fondest memories of her with us, her family, as our hearts are beyond broken. Often we forget that bravery is best measured, not by victory or defeat, but by the spirit of the fight. In this, Faith Ann will forever be our champion.
