Florence Mae Carter

Florence Carter 63 of Spurlockville, WV passed away March 17, 2021 at home.
She is survived by her husband, Clay; daughters, Nika Collins of Alum Creek WV and Crystal (Donnie) Lewis of Charleston, WV; brothers, Richard (Francis) Johnson, and Bill (Karen) Johnson of Hamlin, WV; sister, Becky Marcum of Morrisvale, WV; grandchildren, Joshua Collins, Jr, Gracie Collins, Caitlyn Lewis and Laura Lewis; and two great grandchildren, Bentley Lewis and Ella Lewis.
She was preceded in death by Sue Spurlock and Butch Johnson.
She attended Maple Hill Baptist Church, loved spending time with her family, quilting class and playing cards. She enjoyed sitting on her porch and watching everyone go by and wave. She loved facetiming with her family and was funny and didn’t even know it. She had a heart of gold and there was no one sweeter than Mom.
Memorial service will 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Maple Hill Baptist Church, Morrisvale, with Jason Stone officiating.
