Floyd Vance

Floyd Vance, 86, of Branchland, WV peacefully passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2025 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. He was born April 18, 1938 a son of the late Earnest and Wavie Caldwell Vance. He was also preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. He was a US Army Veteran and worked in water treatment for Army Corps of Engineers.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years Marva Mae Vance; two daughters Tammy (Max) Ledford, and Golda (Randy) Brumfield; six grandkids; 28 great grandkids; four great-great grandkids; three siblings Nancy Marcum, Brenda Sue (Michael) Tackett and David (Diane) Vance.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Upper Ten Mile United Baptist Church Branchland with Tim Davis and Ronnie Lambert officiating. Burial will follow with Military Graveside Rites by American Legion Post 111 of Hamlin at Warrick Cemetery Branchland. A visitation will be one hour prior to service. McGhee-Handley Funeral Home West Hamlin is in charge of arrangements.
