Frances Ann Dickerson (Tyo), 81, of Wharton, West Virginia went to her heavenly home on Monday, June 14th, 2021. Frances was born on October 26th, 1939, in Richwood, West Virginia to William (Bill) and Velma Tyo (Hart).
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, William (Ben) Dickerson, daughter Loucinda Frances, brother Edward (Eddie) Tyo, and parents William (Bill) and Velma Tyo.
Left to cherish Frances’s memory are her children Melinda Skeens of Racine, West Virginia, Gregory (Melode) Dickerson of Hope Mills, North Carolina, and April (Matthew) Johner of Wharton, West Virginia.
Also cherishing their grandmother’s memory are her grandchildren Deborah Kingery, Scotty Kingery, Sarah Kingery, Aaron Dickerson, Maycee Johner, and Mason Johner, as well as great grandchildren Riley Spurlock and Asher Kingery.
Frances is survived by her loving siblings, sister Iris Jean (Paul) Williams of Nettie, West Virginia, sister Joy (Bill) Workman of Ravenswood, West Virginia, sister in law Eva Tyo of Craigsville, West Virginia.
Frances was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. Frances was a beautiful soul who loved her family very much. She touched so many lives with her kindness and friendship. Frances enjoyed vacationing in South Carolina and Florida, watching Gunsmoke, shopping, and making memories with her family. She also loved to sing in the choir at Bald Knob United Methodist Church and attended Gordon Union Church when she was able.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Friday, June 18th, 2021 at Gordon Union Church in Gordon, West Virginia. Family may gather at 5 p.m.
Her service will be held on Saturday, June 19th, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Gordon Union Church in Gordon, West Virginia with Phil Rowe and Matthew Johner officiating. Her burial service will immediately follow the funeral at Memory Gardens in Madison, West Virginia.
