Franklin George Prue

Franklin George Prue 82 of Wharton, WV passed away December 22, 2023 at Boone Memorial Hospital, Madison, WV.

He was a member of Wharton Missionary Baptist Church and a retired coal miner for Eastern Associated Coal Co. He was the Boy Scout Leader for Troop 208, Wharton WV and Vigil honor member of the Order of the Arrow in the Adjudimo Lodge 210.

He was preceded in death by his wife Margaret Sue Prue in December of 2019.

Survivors include 3 sons, Charles Prue, Franklin (Diana) Prue and William (Medina) Prue, 3 grandsons Harry Prue, Franklin Prue and Joshua Prue, 2 sisters Sheryl Robins and Betty King and brother Reginald Mayberry.

Service will be 6 p.m. Thursday, December 28 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV. With Darrell Searls officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to services.

The family would like to thank everyone's prayers, phone calls, and help.

A Graveside Services will be held at 1 p.m. (CST) 2 p.m. (EST) on Friday, December 29 in Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green, KY.
