Franklin Delano Reed

Franklin Delano Reed, born November 10, 1937, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015 at CAMC, Charleston, WV with loved ones by his side.
Franklin served in the US Army, one tour in the Dominican Republic in 1966 and two tours in Vietnam from 1967 to 1968.
He was preceded in death by his wife Nancy Reed and daughter Patty Ann Reed Hoffman. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and being around family. Frank always had a positive attitude toward others and was loved by all who had met him.
He is survived by his son, Glen (April) Reed of Bloomingrose; daughter, Cheryl (Farley) Washington of Seth; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Cookie of Seth and Donna of Virginia.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015 Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Jacob Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas, WV.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
