Fred "John" Topping Jr., 69, of Piqua, Ohio passed January 27 after a lengthy illness. He was born in Logan, WV on November 2, 1945 to Fred and Florence (Duty) Topping. Both deceased. He was married to Diann (Cummings) Topping on November 6, 1964. She survives.
Fred was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Ray Topping and Roland Edward Topping, and a beloved nephew Frederick Darrell Topping. Survivors include son John Topping, and daughters Stephanie and Mark Kaiser, Julie and Charlie Cooper, Lindsay Topping. Grandchildren are Makayla Topping, Rachel and Rebecca Kaiser, Michael and Keanan Zelker, Braylin Linville. Siblings are Kenna Topping, Mary (Rodney) Baker, Jeffrey Topping, Jennifer (Steve) Smith; Many nieces and nephews.
Fred led an adventurous childhood in Ranger, WV. He was a graduate of Guyan Valley High School. He was a retired quality control senior technician with Jackson Tube Service. He loved all babies and spending time with grandchildren. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and flea markets. He loved the wild wonderful state of West Virginia. Fred will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Saturday January 31, 2015 at Handley Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV. The burial will follow in the Adkins-Cummings Cemetery, Sias, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral.
