Frederick Harrison, Jr. was born August 18, 1926 and departed his life on Sunday, November 13, 2016. He was the son of Frederick and Lillie (Harless) Harrison.
Fred was preceded in death by brothers, Elmer, Mancel and Woodrow Harrison; half brothers, Hollie, Earl and Obery Abshire; two sisters, Mamie (Abshire) Walker and Lucille (Harrison) Dotson. He also was preceded by his wife of 48 years, Verla Grace (Abshire) Harrison 15 years to day, Faye (Bussy) Harrison both wifes deceased.
He is survived by his neice/daughter, Grace Ann (Graley) Eskew; a foster daughter, Ann Marie (Young) Reeves; a special friend, David Reagen and Norma Sanners; three special nephews, Jerry Abshire, Gerry Harrison and Larry Dotson; a niece Mary (Walker) Brock.
He was a graduate of Sherman High, WVU/Tech, WVU, COGS, a teacher at Sherman and Van High. Fred was a veteran of World War II and taught Bible for 60 years at the Church of Christ.

There will be no funeral and a hour wake before departure to Graceland Park at South Ridge with graveside at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 16. Handley Funeral Home is in charge of the service.
