Frederick Dean Kinser, 70, of Madison, WV entered into his eternal rest on Sunday, November 8, 2020 at CAMC Memorial Hospital.
He was born on May 16, 1950 in Logan, WV the son of Emil and Eula Kinser. He was predeceased by his parents; his grandparents, Claude and Della Sawyer; brothers, Larry and Paul Kinser; sisters in law, Linda and Kathy Kinser; and his son Bradley Kinser.
He was a 1969 graduate of Logan High School and following graduation he answered the call to serve his country in the US Army, entering the Vietnam was working as a helicopter mechanic and serving until its completion. He went on to serve in the Army as an orthopedic tech in MASH units, retiring after 20 years. Following retirement he worked in security and retired a second time from the Fayetteville Times (NC) newspaper. He attended Madison Baptist Church in Madison, WV.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Charlotte Jo Manns Kinser of Madison; son, Chadrick Dean Kinser of Las Cruces, New Mexico; mother in law, Tina Manns of Foster; sisters and brothers in law, Tony and Wilma Clark of Alkol and Doug and Rhonda Roberts of Foster; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2020 Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Pastor Jim Butcher officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 12, 2020 Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar, WV. Military rites by Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578, Madison, WV.
