Gary Vaughn Ball

Gary Vaughn Ball, 53, of Lincolnton, NC formerly of Greenview, WV departed this life on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at his home. He was born on January 30, 1963 in Madison, WV to the late Ray and Mary Ball of Greenview.

Gary attended Scott High School in Madison, WV. “Big Gary” had a big heart and loved to laugh. He proudly owned his own used car business for a number of years which allowed him the ability to spend time doing what he loved. He was an avid motorcyclist and owned a Harley Davidson, one of his prized possessions. Gary also enjoyed assembling model cars and visiting his family. His favorite pastime was spending time with his children and “grandbabies.”

He is survived by his loving companion, Ruby Shirley; his two children, Gary Vaughn Ball, II (Candi) and Candace Aldridge (Paul Carpenter) all of Lincolnton, NC; former wife, Frances (Ball) Martin also of Lincolnton, NC; six grandchildren, Killista, Chase, Addison, Natalie, Grayson and Mikhail all of Lincolnton, NC; three sisters, Sherry Kerns (Donald), Debbie Miller (Scotty) and Tracy Miller (Estel “Bubby”) all of Danville, WV; and five nieces and nephews, Ricky Kinser (Beth), of Madison, WV Crystal Ball (Billy) of Teays Valley, WV, Scotty Miller (Tara) of Logan, WV, Shadora Miller and Justin Miller both of Danville, WV.

Gary will be greatly missed by a host of family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 19, 2016 at Handley Funeral Home, 439 Phipps Avenue, Danville, WV 25053 with the Rev. Donald Kerns officiating. Burial will follow in the Miller-Ball Family Cemetery, Danville, WV.

Friends may begin calling at 1 p.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Gary's honor may be directed to Handley Funeral Home, 439 Phipps Avenue, Danville, WV 25053.
