Gary Lee Bryant, 72, of Danville, West Virginia, departed this earthly world for his Heavenly home on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at CAMC Hospice, after a short battle with cancer.
Gary was an elder at the Danville Church of Christ, and a proud member of the UMWA having been a coal truck driver for 20 years. Gary also assisted his son in operating Bryant Trucking and Hauling and Bryant Excavating. Most recently, Gary was employed with Courtesy Patrol until his health forced him into retirement in October 2023. In his spare time, Gary enjoyed attending church, hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, spending time with family, and reading his Bible.
Those left to cherish Gary’s memory are his loving wife of 54 years, Diania Bryant; his son, Gary Allen Bryant (Lisa); his daughter, Sherry Ball; grandchildren Morgan Ball and Luke Bryant; and great-grandson Jax Schultz. Gary is also survived by brothers, Mike (Rebecca) Bryant and Randy (Carla) Bryant, Cary Cochran; and sisters, Darlene Eshenaur and Sheila Mosteller; as well as a host of family and friends. Gary also leaves behind his precious puppy, Sadie Mae, who always managed to bring a smile to his face and a ray of sunshine on his darkest days.
Service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, February 11, 2024, with Pastor Brandon Blankenship and Brother Mark Wheatley officiating. Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.
