Gay Ellen Bratcher

Gay Ellen Bratcher, born October 24th, 1962, departed this life on December 8th, 2024 and gained her heavenly home.

She was known for being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, a friend to all who knew her, and her sense of humor that always made us smile. 

She is preceded in death by her parents Buster and Lois (Tootsie) Burns, son Joseph Bratcher, daughter Lora Beth Burns, brothers Carman Burns, Rodney Burns, Eldon Burns, and sister Sherry Selbe. 

Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband, Joe Bratcher; sons Jacob Bratcher (Ashley), Jed Bratcher (Jill), Justin Branham, daughter Katlyn Hancock (Jacob), granddaughter that she was raising, Lillee Branham; siblings Lawerence Burns, Timmy Burns, Steven Burns, and Reda McCormick (John); grandchildren Faith Clark, Austin Clark, Andrew Clark, Allison Clark, Connie Gunnoe, Gavin Branham, Ian Branham, Evelyn Hancock and Rose McCormick. She left a host of family and friends who will miss her.

Services will be at 2:00pm, Sunday, December 15, 2024 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
