George "Scotty" Walls

George “Scotty” Walls, 89, of Van went home to be with the Lord on February 22, 2017 at Hospice House in Charleston.

He was the son of the late Garland and Lilly Walls. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by daughter, Sharon Walls; son, Paul Doug Walls; and all of his brothers and sisters.

He was a member of the Wharton Missionary Baptist Church. He was a member of the UMWA with over 40 years of service.

He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Geneva Walls; daughter Donna Hartman, son-in-law David Hartman and grandson Brian Hartman all of Julian.

Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, February 24 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Darrell Searls officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, Madison.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
