Geraldo Jerry Serrano “Rico”, 50, of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away August 8, 2016.
He was born May 31, 1966 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, son of Miguel and Marta Cortes Serrano.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Rhonda Sue VanBuren Serrano; sons, Geraldo Serrano of Camden, NJ, Antonio Serrano, Jared Serrano of Benton, TN, Daniel Serrano of Bim, WV, Isiah Serrano of Bim, WV and TJ Lusk of Bim, WV; daughters, Jasmine Serrano of Benton, TN, Ashley Coker of Clearwater, FL and Anna Lusk of Bim, WV; brothers, Edgardo Mateo of Camden, NJ, Julio Serrano of Camden, NJ, Carlos R. Serrano, Miguel Serrano of Camden, NJ, Jesus Serrano and Carlos Serrano both of Puerto Rico; sisters, Elizabeth Mateo of Camden, NJ, Josafin Rivera, Nancy Rivera and Jolanda Rivera all of Puerto Rico; grandchildren, Abigail Lusk and Cooper Lusk both of Bim, WV, Jonathan Thomas Coker and Madilynn Coker both of Clearwater, FL.
He attended Elizabeth Freewill Baptist Church. He loved fishing, baseball, football and boxing.
Service will be 2 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Phil Rowe officiating. Burial will be in Arlington Cemetery, Pennsauken, NJ.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
