Hansel Harold Miller

Hansel Harold Miller, age 87 of Cox’s Fork went to be with his son Ronnie on July 6, 2023.

Hansel was a coal miner for many years, and member of the UMWA. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman but his most favorite past-time was spent with his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren which he considered the best medicine.

He was preceded in death by his son Ronnie; his mother and father Richard and Nora Miller; brothers, Clayton, Dennie and Levi Miller; and his sister Geneva Bias (Miller). 

He leaves behind his loving wife of 66 years, Janice Miller; his son, Bo (Lora) Miller; his granddaughters, Kayla (Corey) White, and Haley Miller; four great grandchildren, Ryston, Nora and Remmy White, and Kamryn Burton and a host of family and friends.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 10, 2023 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville, WV with Harley Egnor officiating.  Burial will follow in Miller Cemetery, Mud River.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers the family ask for donations to be made to the Julia Price Breast Cancer Foundation.
