Helen Louise Means Holstein, 85, of Nellis, WV passed away May 21, 2013 at her home after a long illness.
“God has sent his best Angel to carry this mother home to be with him in Heaven.” “I cried when you passed away. I still cry today. Although I loved you dearly, I couldn’t make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me that he only takes the best.”
She was born January 10, 1928 in Davis Creek to the late Rufus and Iva Means.
Helen was preceded in death by her children’s father, Herman Earl Holstein and significant other of 25 years, Melvin Jeffery; and her loving son, Marcel Cerdan Holstein.
Helen was the most loving and caring mother of her 13 children still living who will miss her greatly. In which the children have been by her side throughout this hard time.
Surviving children, Judy (Gary) Atkins, Tony (Shirley) Holstein, Danny (Betty) Holstein, Reyna (David) Pozzie, Arlene Holstein, Ray Holstein, Pam Manthis, Jennings (Jenks) Holstein, Rex (Sherri) Holstein, Laura (Dennis) Lovejoy, Aaron (Georgianna) Holstein, Iva (Ronnie) Dolin and Barbara Roberts; 30 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; sister, Agnes Cook and many nieces, nephews, friends and many extended other family members that will miss her greatly.
The family would like to thank Hospice staff for all their love and support at the end of her life.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, May 25 at Camp Creek Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor Stevie Cox officiating. Burial will be in the Barker Cemetery at White Oak.
Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the church.
