Herbert D. Collins, 66, of Mud River Road in Danville was born November 1, 1946 and went home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Vonnie Berry Collins; grandparents, Oley and Polly Berry; brother, Cecil Ray; and grandson, Nakeithan Scott.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Almeda Bishop Collins; sons, Terry and Sabrina Collins of Alkol and Rocky and Vanessa Collins of Mud River; grandchildren, Cody, Shawna, Jeremiah, Tori, Tierra, Alex, Abigail and Abby; brothers, Harold and Judy Collins and Roger and Chris Collins both of Turtle Creek.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13 at Fountain of Life Worship Center, Foster, WV with the Rev. Stevie Cox and the Rev. Stacy Dingess officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Park, Danville.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the church.
Arrangements are by Handley Funeral Home in Danville.
