Herbert Lee Pauley

Herbert Lee Pauley, 84, of Foster passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at CAMC Memorial Hospital, Charleston, WV.
He was born January 3, 1933 and was a son of the late James and Marcella Jarrell Pauley. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Josephine Pauley; and brother, Bennie Pauley.
He was retired from Mine Health Safety Administration with 28 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Air Force 50th Air Transport Squadron. He was a member of the Gospel Center Tabernacle in West Madison, and a member of Madison Odell Lodge 115. He loved his camp on the Greenbrier River. He loved fishing and enjoyed being with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Anna Lee Goldsberry Pauley; sons, Wayne A. Pauley and Johnna Smith of Foster and Michael R. Pauley and Patricia of Madison; brother, William S. “Bill” Pauley and Peggy of North Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Melissa R. Levo and husband Drake, Kelsey Pauley, Dean Pauley and Rob Pauley; great-grandchildren, Drake Allen Levo and Miley Renee Levo, his little angels.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at CAMC Memorial Hospital, 3rd floor MICU.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 30 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Pastor Walter Gore officiating. Entombment will be in the Garden of Devotion Mausoleum at Memory Gardens, Madison with Masonic Rites performed at the cemetery by Madison Odell Lodge 115.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
